Where'd you get the flour?

This morning for breakfast, Linh made me "Honey-seared Banana in buttered Toast topped with poached Egg sprinkled with sea salt and cinnamon". It was spectacular. I have always been delighted by the combination of honey, banana and cinnamon (not to mention a whole lot of butter to make the bread crunchy and buttery).

It was eaten 2 ways: divide the first layer which was banana and bread from the second one which was egg and bread and eat it separately. The banana bread really brings up the flavors with its irresistible textures of a summer morning - warm, crisp, and orange-y. I could not imagine a better dish to start the day. The egg was perfectly poached. I literally went crazy when I "killed" the egg with my fork which made the egg yolk run.

"Yummy yummy. Give me some more" I said to her.

"That is enough nutrition for the day" she replied

I have to say she has never disappointed me in any dish she has made. I look forward to her next dish as I am hungry for more.

French smoke

Today my sister, a Francophile, excitedly showed me a pack of cigarettes she snatched from a guy from her French class who told her he got it from France. I took a quick glance and said, "Are those Pocky sticks?". "Noooooooo", she said, "these are FRENCH ci...., wait". She paused. And there on the poshy pack with stylish designs and sticks she claimed to be 'classy slim' a baring row of text:

Pretty feet

Today I had lunch at Metropole and there was this guy (who looked French) sitting across the room. I couldn't see his face clearly (but I know he was staring at his feet) while my sister insisted that he was cute. So when we were about to leave, I snatched the Nikon and aimed it at his face (no, I was just using the lens as a telescope, not planning on documenting his face, pssh). Just when I was aiming at him, he looked up. I panicked and switched the camera angle towards the bread table.

Argh, it's like he has telepathy.
